Presidents Letter
August 2007

Greetings to all,

The summer is racing by and we are looking forward to seeing you at our August meeting of Kaligrafos when we’ll gear up for the upcoming year. The programs for the year will be determined at that time and teams will be designated for each month.  Your ideas, input and enthusiasm are very important.

Braving showers and puddles, our new board met at the end of June to get acquainted and to begin to lay the framework for the upcoming year. Our board brings the best of all worlds: the perfect blend of new and old. We have the wisdom and experience of more seasoned members and the fresh ideas, skills and enthusiasm of newer members. It is a dynamic group. Each and every member (that means YOU) is encouraged to take an active part in the fellowship, creative exchange, and educational opportunities that this year promises.

Begin by responding to the program questionnaire that Cristie Campo sent online and please plan to join us Saturday, August 11th at Artists Showplace to kick off the new year and plot where this journey will take us.

Just a few reminders:

1)      Please take note that our September meeting site will be at First United Methodist Church of Richardson...a beautiful campus. More info and directions will follow.

2)      Time to clean house! Start going through your closets and collect extra, unused, or no-longer-wanted calligraphy supplies/items/gems. Eve Campbell and Sherry Barber are making plans for a phenomenal garage sale at the November meeting to benefit Kaligrafos.
