Presidents Letter
March 2008 

Both the setting and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for our Valentine’s Party. We are most grateful to Sherry Barber for opening her lovely home (and studio) to Kaligrafos for an afternoon of sweets, treats and card exchange. As usual, the creative talents of our members were the highlight of the day and each card was a treasure. Donna Sabolovic, Jeri Wright, Marie Adamson, Sherry Barber, Eve Campbell and Louise Weber covered every detail to make the party a festive and memorable event.

It is hard to believe, but this month we begin to wrap-up our Kaligrafos year. At the March meeting the Nominating Committee will present a slate of candidates for the election of officers in April. Library chairmen, Margaret Mall and Norell Munger, will be making a call for library books to be returned by our April meeting and we want to remind our membership that annual dues become payable in April.

Our March program, “Basic Backgrounds”, will be presented by Linda Harrison and will invite some hands-on fun. Linda has some wonderful ideas to demonstrate and share… don’t miss it!

We are fortunate to have Barbara Close in town for a workshop on “Textured Letters” March 8th and 9th. The workshop begins immediately following our regular meeting at Artists’ Showplace and there are still a few spots open. Please contact Linda Jones for more information and to sign up.
